Pick one process that runs every week

Not the strategy. One thing that costs someone an afternoon every week: chasing approvals, reconciling a report, answering the same questions. That's your first project. It's small enough to finish and big enough to matter.

Write down how the decision is made today

In plain words, as if explaining it to a new hire. If you can't, the AI can't either, and the writing is the real work. If you can, you're most of the way there.

Use the tools you already pay for

The first wins almost never need a new platform. A capable model, a spreadsheet and a clear instruction cover more ground than most people expect. Buy tools after you know what you need them for.

Measure one number before and after

Hours saved, days shortened, errors caught. One honest number, measured the same way twice, beats ten impressions. It's also what earns you permission to do the next one.

Keep the human where judgment matters

And remove them where it doesn't. Drawing that line well, case by case, is most of the job. Nothing on this site argues for taking people out of the loop; it argues for putting them where they're needed.
